Visualize Your Goals: The Secret Ingredient to Achieving Anything

One of the most important skills for success is goal setting, the act of creating a plan with specific steps to reach a desired end.
There are many ways to visualize your goals, and each one is different. Here’s how you can accomplish anything by visualizing your goals with these three steps.
Step 1: Define Your Goals
Step 2: Visualize Each Goal as If You Have Already Achieved It
Step 3: Take Action

Define Your Goals
Once you've defined your goals, it's time to start visualizing your ideal future. What do you want to achieve? To make this a little more concrete, take a moment to think about all of the things that could be improved in your life. Ask yourself: What is one thing that I would like to see in my life but haven't yet achieved?
What's one thing that I would like to see but haven't been able to accomplish yet?
What are the things I've already achieved and what's still missing from my life?
What can I do now to achieve these desired outcomes?
Step 2: Visualize Each Goal as If You Have Already Achieved It
Once you've started thinking about what you want to achieve, visualize your ideal future as if it already exists. For example, let's say you're trying to become a millionaire.  One way to visualize this goal is by having money appear before you whenever you need it. This visualization will help guide you throughout the rest of your journey towards becoming a millionaire.

Visualize Each Goal As if You Have Already Achieved It
When you think of your goals, it's important to remember that they aren't fixed. They're fluid and can change over time. You should set goals that are useful right now, but not so rigid that you don't have room for growth.
For example:
If you want to become a better speaker, then your goal could be to speak at more conferences and raise more money for charities through speaking engagements. But if you're already a good speaker and want to take it to the next level, then you might want to focus on getting a speaking position at the biggest events held in your industry from top companies like Google, Amazon or Yahoo!
You can visualize each goal as though you've achieved it already. By doing this, you'll make setting and achieving new goals much easier.

Take Action
The only way to move forward is to move quickly. Your business needs to get moving—it's time for action.
There are a lot of reasons why it’s time for your business to get moving: You have a new product on the horizon and you want to make sure that it's generating enough interest so that you can be ready when the opportunity presents itself. You're launching something new and you want it to stand out from the competition. You're looking for the next big thing in internet marketing, or maybe SEO for your website. And let's just say there is no "next big thing" right now.
